Segment 1: DOT Drug Testing Overview

  • Overview of DOT regulations and policies
  • Purpose of the DOT testing program
  • NIDA 5 substances (marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opioids, PCP)
  • Prescription medications and safety-sensitive duties
  • CBD warnings and polydrug use risks

Segment 2: Testing Types, Procedures, and Refusals

  • When employees are tested (pre-employment, random, post-accident, etc.)
  • How drug testing is conducted
  • Refusals to test and their consequences
  • Chain of Custody, MRO role, and specimen requirements

Segment 3: Alcohol Misuse, Effects, and Testing

  • Effects of alcohol on the body and job performance
  • Prohibited conduct and timeframes for alcohol use
  • Alcohol testing procedures and BAC levels
  • Long-term consequences, addiction, and the return-to-duty process

Assessment and Certification: The course includes quizzes and assessments to evaluate understanding and retention. Upon successful completion, a certificate is automatically generated.
